This week started off with the highlight of this week; something us from LA and Orange County don't see unless we seek it out. SNOW!
Even though I say that here in Florence the last time it's snowed here has been quite a few years ago. Everyone here was experiencing something unique in many ways. Seeing everything covered in snow was beautiful. I don't know what it is about snow that makes things look so unique from the normal day but because of it we didn't care we were late to class that day. Because this week has been the first solid week sense we got here I had plenty of time to get more picture of all the signs around the city. I also noticed with it that the artist doesn't limit some of his ideas to one sign and that theres actually a could of the same.
I did have a strange issue with my bank at the beginning of the week that initially stressed me out because I wasn't sure how long the issue was going to persist and being limited to only card use isn't the best idea in Italy. Among other things me and the girls figured out how drying our clothes on a rack works and how we want to go about chores around the house to keep things in order.
I've never been good at ignoring people like those who beg for money or people who say hello to me, even if I know they're only saying hi to try to get my number. I'm pretty proud to say though that i've improved quite a lot at ignoring people who talk to me who have no need in talking to me. I hope this will be a skill I take home with me!
Next week I'll be traveling to Venice and inside the Duomo so look forward to those photos!!
